FREE HOLIDAYS FOR CARERS!   Carers of East Lothian has just been allocated 12 free holiday places at Pontin’s, Blackpool during Carers Week, Monday 11th to Friday 15th June 2007.   The holiday is courtesy of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers (sponsored by Norwich Union).   In the past this initiative has proved to be a marvellous opportunity for carers to get a break from the pressures of their caring situation.  The offer is open to carers going by themselves and those travelling with family/companion(s).   If you think you may be interested, please contact the Carers Centre for more information and details of the criteria which apply.

Free Complementary Therapy Sessions   We are pleased to say we will be again be offering free Complementary Therapy sessions for carers.  We have renewed our agreement with Napier University for Complementary Therapy students to offer treatments in the Carers Centre.  The students are in their final year of study and are well trained to offer high quality sessions.  If you are interested, please contact the centre as soon as possible.

Who Cares? Course in North Berwick   This course consists of seven half-day sessions on various aspects of caring, including Welfare Benefits advice and local services.  Please check our Events for Carers Page on this site for more information.
