DESCRIPTION:We run an online support group to offer carers who are less able to meet in person to connect with other carers. The group is held online using the platform – Zoom. 15 carers can attend the group. At the moment the group is at full capacity however active membership is reviewed every 6 months. If you would like to sign up to the group please contact Louise Kennedy\, Carer Support Worker on louise@coel.org.uk  \nThe online support group do have two opportunities to meet in-person twice during the year.  They meet in person for their meeting date in June (for Carers Week) and they meet in-person for their December meeting date (for a festive celebration).

SUMMARY:Trauma Informed Parenting Online Sessions
DESCRIPTION:We will be running Trauma Informed Parenting sessions again in collaboration with Suzanne Scott (TIP). Sessions are open to all parent carers\, The sessions will cover how to manage children’s challenging behaviours by applying a trauma informed approach. \nThis two part online course will run on Mondays 25th Jan & 1st Feb. We have run these sessions in the day time quite a few times now. In order to support new carers to attend who may not have been able to make it in the day time\, we are running this round of sessions in the evening. The sessions will be held online 6.30-8.30pm. A link will be sent to you on sign up. DESCRIPTION:This support group is open to all unpaid carers who are supporting someone with mental health issues and is held at Port Seton Community Centre. The group is open to new members.
