#1 Carer Wellbeing Microgrants
With funding from the Scottish Government Wellbeing Fund, we can offer grants of up to £100 to support unpaid carers. This could be to help you meet additional costs or to undertake activities at home to improve your wellbeing. Please apply as soon as possible as funds are limited.
Application deadline: 31st July 2020
#2 Time to Live: Breaks from Caring Grants (carers and parent carers)
We continue to offer grants of up to £250 for a break from caring with funding from Time to Live. Their eligibility criteria has recently changed to include parent carers (cared for under 21). This money can be used for a wide range of activities associated with taking time out from your caring role. Examples include purchasing a subscription for an entertainment service, signing up to an online course, or buying equipment or materials to pursue an interest or hobby. Please apply as soon as possible as funds are limited.
- 31st July 2020 for parent carers (cared for under 21)
- 30th September 2020 for carers (cared for 20 or over)
Our short breaks carer support worker Julie Oswald can also help you identify opportunities to take time out from your caring role during the lockdown. Please contact her on 0131 665 0135.
