Finding comfort in art

A carer supported by one of our team has shared some of the beautiful paintings he has been creating during the lockdown. This talented painter does not wish to be named but is happy to share that he has been caring for his wife, who has dementia, for over ten years. He doesn’t get much time to paint now but when he does, it brings him peace, rest and, very importantly, some time for just for him.

Have you sought refuge in a favourite pastime during lockdown too? If you have any images of creations you wish to share, please email kirsteen@coel.org.uk using the subject line “carer’s creations”.
