A Festive Message from Jenny White, CEO – Carers of East Lothian

As the year draws to a close, I would like to take a moment to write to carers and supporters of Carers of East Lothian to say thank you and wish you well for the festive period.

2025 has been a busy year at Carers of East Lothian, with the latter part of the year marking a period of transition as I took on the role of Chief Executive Officer. We also welcomed new team members to the organisation. I know this year has brought challenges for many of the people we work with. We are proud of the support provided to carers this year.

The festive season can be a busy time that can bring additional pressures, and balancing caring responsibilities with daily life takes strength and resilience. I hope you are able to enjoy some moments of rest and connection during this period.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported the organisation throughout the year. We are all looking forward to working with you further in 2026 as we continue to develop our organisational strategy, shaping the work we do in the years ahead.

I would like to let you know about our office opening hours during the festive period. The CoEL office is open until 4pm on Tuesday 23rd December 2025. The office will be closed from 24th December, reopening at 10am on Monday 5th January 2026. On Wednesday 24th December, staff will be working from home in the morning; you can still contact us by phone or email, though the office will not be open to visitors

There will be one drop in event running during the period that we are closed. On Tuesday 30th December, 10am–2pm, at the CoEL office, Gemma and Suzie will be there to welcome you for warm drinks, nibbles, and company. There is no need to book this. You can just drop in.

Best wishes to all carers and supporters of CoEL for the coming year.

Jenny White

Chief Executive Officer, Carers of East Lothian
