We held our Annual General Meeting on 29th November at the Maitlandfield House Hotel in Haddington. We were delighted that lots of members and other interested people could attend. During the meeting, the management of CoEL was explained to everyone present and opportunities were provided for questions before voting on business items occurred.
We heard from Jane Ogden- Smith, Equalities and Engagement Officer from East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership about Planning for Older People’s Services in East Lothian, as well as Linda Walker, our Building Better Breaks Coordinator about successes from the Time For Me programme. We enjoyed the afternoon over scones and tea/ coffee and the event ended with a performance from CoEL’s singing group ‘Care to Sing’.
Membership of CoEL is open to carers, former carers and people who support our objectives. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact us on centre@coel.org.uk
