East Lothian Carers Strategy 2026 – 2030

The East Lothian Draft Carers Strategy for 2026 – 2030 has now been published. We are sharing this on behalf of East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership who would like your help to know if they have got it right.

3 in 5 people will be carers at some point in our lives, so ensuring carers are recognised, valued and heard is important for us all.

Unpaid carers support our communities and our health and social care systems and taking action to make things better for carers will make things better for all of us.

Please follow this link to access their consultation: https://eastlothianconsultations.co.uk/adult-wellbeing/carers-strategy/

The full document is available to read for those who want to do so but they have also summarised each outcome with a short video. The partnership asks if you think they have the right priorities and actions to improve the support and wellbeing for carers of people in East Lothian.

The consultation will be open until Sunday 15th March.
