CoEL recently held sessions in collaboration with Mark Han Johnston from Self Directed Support Scotland to support carers who are employing a Personal Assistant, or considering doing so in the future. Self Directed Support Scotland have designed a resource to help people navigate the process of employing PA‘s.
Feedback from carers about the session included that the resource has a wealth of useful information for carers in this position. Those that attended were keen for the resource to be shared with other carers who may find themselves in need of information and guidance when employing a PA.
