Mindfulness for Unpaid Carers at CoEL

CoEL have been running a 4-week introduction to mindfulness for unpaid carers.

Mindfulness is a gentle and safe way of slowing down our busy lives and can help us in times of stress.

The group have been experimenting with focusing on their senses, breath and thoughts as stepping stones to becoming more mindful. The sessions are planned to be relaxing and supportive with a focus on introductory mindfulness techniques for people who are new to the practice or returning after a break. After practice, the group enjoy refreshments together. This is the first 4 week group that we have run, but watch this space for more in the future if you are interested in how mindfulness could support you in your day to day life as a carer.
