2024 has been another busy year for us at Carers of East Lothian and we know it has been a difficult time for many of our carers. We would like to wish you all a peaceful time over the festive season and very much hope you are able to get a break and some time for yourself over the period, as well as spending time with loved ones.
We’d also like to thank everyone who has worked with us over the year to support local carers; we are hugely grateful for your help in making sure we are able to reach as many carers as possible in offering our support.
Carers of East Lothian will be closed from 2pm on 24th December and will reopen on Friday 3rd January. There will be one drop in event for carers on Friday 27th December. We know that period in between Christmas and New Year can be an unusual time. If you wake up on 27th December and feel like you are in need of some good company, a warm drink and some nibbles, come and see our wonderful Carer Support Worker Suzie Q and our lovely volunteer Jenny at the Carers of East Lothian office on the ground floor of East Lothian Community Hospital between 10am and 2pm. No need to book, just drop in.
Wishing you all, and all our friends and supporters, all the very best for the coming year.
Jess Wade – Chief Executive Officer, Carers of East Lothian
