Support for parents/carers of autistic children

NHS Lothian and partner organisations are running a series of information sessions online for parents/carers of children and young people (up to 18 years old) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Parents/carers are welcome to attend the sessions even if their children do not yet have a diagnosis.

Topics include:

  • Understanding ASD
  • Supporting children with ASD in school
  • Social stories and emotional regulation
  • Sleep management
  • Other sources of support and caring for yourself

Sessions will run from 6 to 7:30 pm and be delivered on a virtual platform (details will be confirmed on booking). To book, please email FamilyInformationSessions@eastlothian.gov.uk with your name, contact daytime telephone number, which session(s) you wish to attend.
