We’re delighted to introduce Jenny White, who joined Carers of East Lothian as Chief Executive Officer in July and has been getting to know the team and the organisation.
With over 20 years of experience in the voluntary sector — working with people with autism, families of prisoners and older people— Jenny brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. Jenny also brings personal insight due to her lived experience of caring, having been a parent carer, as well as caring for both of her parents.
Jenny says:
“I am looking forward to supporting the staff team, ensuring they have the resources to carry out their role and provide a quality service to unpaid carers across East Lothian, as well as working with carers, the staff team and the board to create innovative services that support carers in their role and strengthen the organisation.”
Outside of work, Jenny enjoys countryside walks with her Dalmatian Bonnie, DIY, decorating and furniture refurbishment, and she loves being a Granny to her 8 grandchildren. She particularly enjoys baking, drawing and playing games with them.
We hope you will join us in warmly welcoming Jenny to Carers of East Lothian.
